With a BS in Philosophy of Science from MIT, an MA in Philosophy, an MA in Economics, and PhD in Mathematics from Boston University. He has been active in the field of economic democracy for the past 50 years, co-founder of the Industrial Cooperative Association (USA), Employee Ownership Services (EOS) doo (SLO) and the Institute for Economic Democracy (SLO), where he is currently the president. Ellerman is a co-author of the European ESOP model being implemented by the Institute.
